THIS IS A STRANGE ONE!

I have a guy who ive sponsored trying to get his nt status via the exam, he failed twice but only with 1 question apparently so, as I did before with another guy ive requested if he could sit a 3rd and final exam seems as it was so close to the pass. They allowed the other person I had to go ahead without a hitch.
I phone up today to see if the VOSA guy had looked at my request, I got a call back saying the guy was coming out to see me? I find this very strange? why would he want to come out to see me?

ANYONE else had this happen to em?

Could be a good thing i.e. wanting to do an observed test, a general chat about the NT and possible to meet him. I wouldn't worry too much mate

im getting too old to worry david, im hoping its a positive visit like u say. Just find it odd, a simple yes or no doesn't require a visit. Cant wait to meet him now lol.
Wants to hurry up thou holidays arnt too far ahea and im still tester less lol

If by test you mean the NTTA (multiple choice) it could be a visit to see how knowledgeable your prospective tester is. We've known for a while that the NTTA isn't the best way to choose future testers.

Never heard of this happening before but you certainly haven't done anything wrong motorhead.

VOSA recognize that some people are not good with theory but are good with their hands, so maybe VOSA might watch a demonstration test and everything being OK you get signed off, or they might recommend the aTa route, which is practical based learning and no theory as far as I understand.

at this stage i havent spent time with the person in question so his testing knowledge is very little so that wouldnt work, and for the guy to be here when he visits i would need to know when he wants to visit?
Ill let you guys know the outcome, i just find it strange lol.

It can (and probably does) cause worry for no reason.
