Alternative Routing for Rear Brake Pipes

Re routing brake pipes is ok, as long as they are adequately supported(cable tied is ok) they are not fouling on any moving part, (Anti roll bars move slightly,) and do not leak or hang down, so go ahead remembering to keep away from anything which moves

What year Mondeo is it? Like billyloadsamud said, attaching the brake pipes to any part of the anti-roll bar will cause rubbing and wear, even on the centre bit which still twists slightly. It's possible to add a few sleeves onto the pipe and cable tie them to parts of the rear subframe and/or and/or fuel tank mountings and/or body etc tightly but just double check the routing and mounting of the pipework before actually fitting it. I've actually seen a replacement brake pipe routed right through a coil spring - the person that fitted it said he made sure it wasn't touching or rubbing on anything when he fitted it!

I have just tested a Rover 75 and the quality of fitment and routing of the brake pipes was a disgrace to say the least. Because the person fitting the pipes could not get their hands up along the sides of the fuel tank, the brake pipes were jut feed through and round and left insecure, and the front to rear pipes at the rear in front of the fuel tank had been secured to the fuel lines. The front of the floor section underneath the drivers feet, where the pipes go up towards the lower bulkhead has a steel plate fitted where the brake pipes pass through it, at this point the pipe(s) had been damaged somehow, but what a mess, the quality of the job very poor indeed.
