The following information is from Driving Standards Agency:

Driving test candidates warned on vehicle recalls...

Some vehicles are being recalled by manufacturers and can't be used for driving tests until they've been checked and fixed if necessary.

A vehicle can be recalled by the manufacturer if it has a known safety fault.

There has been a worldwide recall of some vehicles because of concerns about potentially faulty passenger airbags. DSA has published a list of affected vehicles and information about what to do if you're affected.

thanks for the info David. I have just serviced one of my customers cars an 04 Honda jazz which is on the list from your link so I rang and told them about the recall and they were grateful for the info as they knew nothing about it. nice one.

Never seen anything come up in it, even on cars that have a "safety recall carried out" sticker under the bonnet.

I've a sneaky feeling that the alterations to the ABS\Airbag lamp RfR's will be linked to this too: ec.europa.eu/enterprise/sectors/automotive/technical-harmonisation/regulatory-framework/index_en.htm

Eventually there won't be any confusion....One sequence for every type in use right across Europe
