Corrosion near chassis mounting bolts

I would use 6.1.1 of the manual integral vehicle structure ,copied from the manual
(a) A main load-bearing structural member:

(i) fractured or deformed such that structural rigidity is significantly reduced
(ii) fractured or deformed such that steering or braking is likely to be adversely affected

(b) Strengthening plates or fastenings:

(i) insecure
(ii) so insecure that structural rigidity is seriously reduced

(c) Vehicle structure corroded to the extent that:

(i) the rigidity of the assembly is significantly reduced
(ii) steering or braking is likely to be adversely affected

(d) A main load-bearing structural member modified or inadequately repaired such that:

(i) the rigidity of the assembly is significantly reduced
(ii) steering or braking is likely to be adversely affected

IF we are talking body mounts on a vehicle with a ladder style chassis, and outside a prescribed area, you'd better get used to advising , unless the body security is as described above by Ben, overall security or stability seriously impaired.

Unless its rocking around or going to fall off of course. 😉

It was chassis mounts

The ladder chassis is the main frame to which everything else is attached, so what mountings are you referring to? Is it the body to chassis? Suspension units to chassis? Steering equipment to chassis? That is what we would need to know to give full advice.

So is it the body which is bolted on to these mountings?
