Hi,

If there is a towbar covering the number plate or light do we just advise as a minor as in section 6.16 i? Because section (ii) says "obstructing the registration plate making it unreadable" I don't understand as if it obstructs the registration plate then it will obviously be unreadable? It also says in the info under registration plates that the registration plate must not be obscured this all seems to contradict itself what do you all think?

Two defects under Section 6. Minor & Major. Both are applicable to how much the towing equipment obscures the plate.

So .....due to the presence/position of the tow bar/tow ball .......can you read the full registration or can't you read the full reg ?

Section 1 only covers the size, condition & legibility of the numbers & letters contained within the plate.

If I was to agree with you, that would make us both wrong !

with my AI intelligence and X-ray vision lol I'd say its a V

The good thing for the driver there is that if manufacturers of different vehicles use very similar plates with only one character difference, and I've come across it many times, then the ANPR system in the UK cannot determine the vehicle and no prosecution is pending.

My rotary number plates are excellent

You can't "unbreak" the broken,you can only break the unbroken to break the break of the unbroken, for me, you cannot unbreak me, for I am already broken,so you have no need to break the break because I am not unbroken.
