Bringing the test scheme in disrepute

Back in the day I failed a landrover disco for dodgy number plate s and have only used this once the local dealer lad brought it back for a Re test and said YOU have to pass this !!! New one's stuck over the old ones with the sticky tape they USE with a new cars advisory ( New one's stuck over old ones and in my opinion these will be removed ) the owner rang my garage asking to speak to ME ! I've just been fined by the police for my number plate s for illegal number plate s for my vehicle that YOU have just MOTd or really you should be speaking to the main dealer about this NOT ME pal

had the same a couple of years back and YES it was a bloody land rover as well.when it came back with the sticky back plates one of my advises was "plates fitted for retest appear temporary"and the trader concerned got snotty about it.not half as snotty as a few weeks later when dvsa came rattling my cage about me testing a possible ringer and after me showing id dotted the is and crossed the ts pointing em in his direction complete with address and fone no why get mad when getting even is so much more fun turned out it was a trade in sales motor hed been ragging around for a few weeks on the private plate it had been traded in on(which explained why he had insisted i test it under a reg no which comp 2 was telling me to fook off on!)which had obviously now been transferred to the owners current vehicle and was giving the anpr system a hissy fit which coincidentally is what he threw when they nicked him for it!
