Bit of a weird question. I recently purchased a 2 year old vehicle, and on checking the vehicles details online, the garage seem to have MOT'd the vehicle a few days before I picked it up.

Why would you MOT a 2 year old vehicle ? Is this even possible ? Shouldn't the system have told them it didn't need one ? Can you accidentally MOT a car ?

Confused.

Either that or a car supermarket etc has just processed it through their usual channels irrespective.

Many years ago on the old sister forum one tester tested and failed a three year old van because the chassis had rotted through. While its always been the norm for a three year first test, it doesn't mean all vehicles are safe to three year old.

You can't "unbreak" the broken,you can only break the unbroken to break the break of the unbroken, for me, you cannot unbreak me, for I am already broken,so you have no need to break the break because I am not unbroken.

I get a few cars sold from a nearby breakers that require testing either before they would ordinarily need one because of prior structural damage, this aspect was missing from all earlier replies to the OP, I have noted your category update information,Cheers
