21/22 CPD more tester friendly

Er !!!!!!! No drip feed or answers unfortunately,I wouldn’t be doing anybody or the scheme favours , besides with 30 mins remaining of the assessment just shows how easier it is this year , it was not a target to do it quick,it just panned out like that .
One question wrong like i said on LPG storage pressure ,if I could if picked “ fook knows “ I would of 😂

The providers should provide us with the answers to the question we get wrong like the question above it doesnt state in what capacity the gas is being used in liquefied bulk tankers have extremely high pressure piped pressure must be high enough to push the gas through the system calor gas bottles are low pressure unless stored near outside heat then the pressure will increase so another useless question.

I don’t know the answer but I break a guess down to low pressure.

As theres no definition between high, very high and extremely high I’d go the opposite way. I’m no Chaser though.

I would have gone with extremely high pressure so more goes into tank only guessing.

I'm no expert either, however as NT's I suppose one of the basics we should look at on the vehicle is the type of pipe connections. Those connections should provide an insight into what sort of pressure the system is operating at. Think along the lines of what DVSA pointed out years ago about brake pipes and not using ferrules as they can't seal the line pressure. 

An extract from the LPG experts...

Pressure

The LPG in the service pipework will be under pressure to drive the gas through the

system. Generally, the pressure may be low (less than 75 millibar) or medium

(between 75 millibar and 2 bar gauge). Pipework at medium pressure is of greater

concern if leaks should develop as the amount of LPG that could be released is likely

to be greater than at low pressure.


The pressure of the LPG in the pipework may be influenced by the rating of

appliances in the premises that it is supplying. For example, factories using LPG in

manufacturing processes may need a higher volume of LPG to run their appliances

and so may require medium pressure to meet this need. In contrast, commercial

premises, such as pubs, hotels and care homes may only be using the LPG to

provide heating and cooking appliances and this can be met by low pressure.


You can tell if your pipework is under low or medium pressure by the type of

regulators that are attached to the pipework.

If the pipework has only a single regulator on the tank and one near where it enters the building then it is probably

under medium pressure. If a second stage regulator is located at the tank then this

indicates that the pipework is under low pressure. If you are not sure about the

pressure in your pipework then you should consult someone who can help such as

your supplier or an independent expert

With the above in mind to guide us I vaguely remember seeing in the boot of LPG conversions some type of pressure gauge to advise what the operating pressure are. Next time anyone has a LPG in maybe could have a look and let us all know please!!

May I ask, why not?

Suppose you take an LPG tank with a gauge on and the tank is full of LPG. The gauge should advise the reader what pressure is in it as a maximum no!!

Typical working LPG pressures suggest about 10 bar. Now to me that is a high pressure, but not extremely high like you'd find in an ABS braking system say about 179 bar. 

With a little research some common sense can start to be applied no!!

Along with carbon fibre I have trawled thro the guide and cannot find reference to the powers of a VE..can someone steer me in the right direction
Also according to the HSE document LPG powered vehicle storage is deemed as high pressure..if I have read it right

i also looked for carbon fibre/ ve powers i could not find anything we need some off the smarty pants on this site to do the exam too give us some idea off the questions direction for this year were is stealth when you need him
