Credit and debit card surcharges to be banned

does that include roadtax when you buy with credit card?.....

the goverment want us to stop dealing in cash and use card but they should be at the credit card companys about there charges to us the retailers i am a 1 man band station and most months i am £70 to £90 in cost to me for there machine this is what they should be looking at they want as cash less socity then make the credit card companys cut the cost to us this will not happen as they make to much money off us were caught in a trap does not matter what company you use there all the same price one way our the uthere

Maybe but the Test Fee won't rise with the cost of living etc

I'm in the same situation as a one man/his wife setup. But we just have to factor these costs into our pricing. It's pretty much the same as VAT, the only person who actually pays it is the last one in the chain, which is the customer unless they're VAT registered as well in which case as far as I can see nobody pays the VAT but everyone does a lot of administration work for nothing!
