My AE is having DVSA round Wednesday for his practical assessment, he has not really put any effort in to learn the ropes, but he has stood there watching me do the testing and made his notes on his clip board so that he knows what DVSA will be looking for?

I only hope I have not picked up any bad habits or he'll fail LOL

You can't "unbreak" the broken,you can only break the unbroken to break the break of the unbroken, for me, you cannot unbreak me, for I am already broken,so you have no need to break the break because I am not unbroken.

I am not trying to pull my boss down but he has had plenty time to get into the routine and I have been trying to show him the routine today but he does seem very uninterested to be honest. He has asked me to be there tomorrow when the VE arrives and be the testers assistant, to prompt him along he says. I wonder who will prompt me along then

VE's don't talk to me, they need to spend their time and resources with people who don't have an answer for everything

From what I've been hearing and reading lately regards VE"s your boss might end up being better then the VE.
Your going to have some fun doing his retests ,the boss that is.
"Their may be trouble ahead "

spot on,i got a guy thru his demo simply by asking questions of the ve concerned,he didn't notice that the candidate concerned hadn't jacked the back of the car up plus a few other problems that I cant post on an open site....

he passed today with some help from me, I don't know whether the VE heard me advising him or not, maybe I should not have but he was doing some areas incorrectly, I think the VE knew even though he stood at the doorway and talking on his mobile. He did advise me afterwards that he don't like doing two assessments a day! Anyway the boss was happy he passed and he gave me £100 of helping him through, although I don't know how much was in the brown envelope he gave the VE in the office afterwards
