No way. wow , I wouldn't even bother with an advisory for that disc lol... As far as an mot is concerned that disc is almost brand new ...hopefully it's someone new to testing & can be put down to a genuine mistake.. pmsl. Maybe a lot worse on the inside face ...

Sadly not drew505. A well known test centre using gimmicks to grab work at the customers exaggerated, unnecessary expense......again!

I guess it can still be a new/inexperienced nt working there making a genuine mistake......

I've been unfortunate enough to work at a company very much like this, never again, they made it sound like the perfect job to get you through the door then things soon change!

The disc is worth an advise, and i'd be surprised if the brakes were all functioning correctly to get the disc into that state.

I would advise, simply because to the guy in the pub that knows nothing, that disc is rusty and he's going to say to his mate " who did your mot? Stevie Wonder?"

And then the punter thinks you're wrong, and the it goes to appeal and the VE says, OK pass and advise,

Been there, done that, and my advisory covered my botty

Maybe there is something else wrong with the disc that the photo does not show,seeing the other side may of helped ,but looking at the photo and from what I can see is that I wouldn't even advise it ,if I thought of advising it based on the rusty appearance then I'd have to advise every disc on every test ,there is nothing to cover yourself for and nor would it be beneficial to the presenter to let him know the disc is rusty ,have to go with gaz the young lad with wisdom on this one .

The station in question is well known for the wrong reasons. Only one tester for the last 10 years or so too (the owner).

He said to me on the phone, "It was very quiet and we tried free MOT vouchers. We had too many and had to recover what we were loosing. We all do it don't we?".
