they haven't changed that much for 30 years (apart from EPB`s on the new stuff), try a fiat bambino, 60`s vintage, transverse leaf springs front and rear, just make sure you take a pic when he looks under it and post the look of complete confusion on here, better yet try and find a 30`s rover with rod brakes, the handbrake lever moving every time you hit the brake pedal should get him reading the manual, just don`t get him to phone the local VE for advice, that may destroy his faith in the system too soon
