Any one do e the inspection technician route

Yes I am ata approved. The standards may have changed over the last couple of years, but to keep up to date a technician has to be reassessed every three years, used to be five.

Basically they are checking you have the working experience to inspect vehicles to an industry agreed standard, this is not as easy to achieve as some might think because in the real world doing an examination, you might say look at brake discs and see they are worn, then you fail them, but how worn are they and do they meet a given standard.

The aTa is all about industry agreed standards and to achieve a pass outcome, you must know what the industry agreed standards are to get through it.
