A colleague of mine carried out a test fairly new to testing on a vechicle with no known brake weight no atl no means of finding it so he entered roller weight not known he carried out roller test it failed on no parking brake lock and no service brake lock. He proceeded and failed the vechicle with other failures. Now reading further he should of done a deceleration test but he was unaware has only been testing a few months and the switch over hasnt helped and entered that result aswell to see the results but its failed now what should we do as reguards to this retest and carry one out the car has had the other items repaired and is back in tommorow any advice would be great

After checking all the other fails and advisorys carry out another roller test and hope you get the required amount of locks. If not then you will need to carry out a decel test.

RBT test first where there is no weight. Check bind, rate of increase & decrease, brake fluctuation/ovality & imbalance. If all is ok then do a deceleration test and enter the deceleration readings in brake results.

If I was to agree with you, that would make us both wrong !

Hi Craig your colleague should of probably on hinesite quickly checked on the Internet that these latest model landrovers fitted with epb have to be put into brake bedding mode so you can carry out a brake tapley meter test (decelorometer ) whenever brake testing weight is unavailable
