Official DVSA Advice on entering CT Results August 27th 2015

Guess that means that anyone that caught up at home is going to be sat in the naughty corner . Twitchy times ahead for a few people .

As I have mentioned previously I think it should have been allowed with no action taken against anyone that did it . I truly hope that there are no problems for anyone who did it through desperation or to 'spread it out through the day' .
I chose to wait and see what happened and was able to catch up today . Another day or so and I would have been having a go at home with it .

Calm down and catch up later .. Hard to get the boss to understand why you are so far behind with your testing though .

Seems like a great idea to sort the problem . No mention of doing them at home though This is what it says .

Issue 1
Following recent MOT testing service performance issues, a higher than normal number of contingency testing results need to be entered (or retro-keyed) into the service.

The original tester is not always available to retro-key contingency test results back into the service at the earliest opportunity due to absence, holidays etc.

Workaround
DVSA will temporarily allow another tester to enter a contingency test result on behalf of a fellow tester who works at the same vehicle testing station (VTS).

Any tester entering results on behalf of another tester should choose ‘Other’ on the contingency test result entry screen and record the following in the ‘Reasons’ box:

the original tester’s name
the original tester’s user ID
This will make sure test results are entered into the service at the earliest opportunity and testers should keep the paperwork at their VTS for a minimum of 3 months.

Until further notice, DVSA won’t take any disciplinary action over this issue.
