So last night I took five copies of my CT pass certificates home with me and entered them all from my pc at home. I printed them off at home, and brought them into work today and passed them onto the customers. All my customers were happy with this and my CT problem is solved. Just as well really as I can't get on the system today, and I am away on holiday for a week from tomorrow.
I don't know if this is strictly acceptable to DVSA, but given the current situation, I felt that I had no other choice.
Time will tell if I get stuffed for this or not.
What are your views and opinions on this?

Correction! I've just spoken to DVSA directly about this and the instruction is as follows;

1. All CT results must be entered by original tester
2. Entering of CT results must be done on site at original MOT Station

In addition the official advice is to remember that all CT Certificates are Legal Documents, therefore AE's & NT's need not panic to exchange them as soon as possible.

CT's can be entered anytime before its expiry if a VT20 or its retest if a VT30.

As long as customers are made fully aware of the situation and why they have been issued a CT Certificate exchanging can be done when testers have time available.

Don't panic there is no rush to enter CT Results.....

The rules have been temporarily relaxed on who can enter CT results and that's from DVSA and on their website. Please read link and this section.

Apparently they found an issue with the Tester ID box pete. I'm going with the website info though. I have a black & white reason for doing it that way...

Correction! the new instruction on relaxed rules re CT results has been implemented due to feedback from the Forum and a phone call yesterday to DVSA.
