AE stands for Authorised Examiner. It's basically the individual garage or chain where you go to to have your test.

NT stands for Nominated Tester - the person that actually does your MOT test.

You may also see the term VE. This stands for Vehicle Examiner. They work for DVSA carrying out random roadside checks, MOT appeal tests and keeping us lot in check too.

Hi Martin , the course tells you what you need to know over 2 days and you answer some questions at the end to become an approved manager.

Its not been VOSA for years, they changed to DVSA and don't like being called VOSA anymore
