Missed Corrosion

Ok so have just come on here to vent my frustration at mainly myself and hopefully one or two of you will say "dont worry its happened to the best of us". basically I had a ford Ka in the other day and did a test on it. I had to abandon the test at the end due to my EGA getting a hardware fault but thats besides the point. I failed the vehicle on...... You guessed it Corrosion and then aborted. It had a hole on an old welded plate on the n/s/r and another two holes on the inner and outer sill on the O/S/F, It also had one on the rear chassis leg, Well I must of got into a kind of tunnel vision mode and was checking the rear suspension and making sure the springs were intact and there wasnt too much movement on the upper bearing and no leaks on strut etc. I did however miss a hole on either side about 4 inches away from the top of the strut, This was found when the gent went to a different branch of the company i work for and another tester did a full test as his EGA was working. He noticed the holes that I had missed and immediatly let me know he had to fail it and inform customer. Luckily the customer knows me and the boss etc so although a bit inconvienenced and pi$$ed off he is getting it welded and retested and no more shall be said. While I cant help but feel lucky that the customer is a good bloke and ex trade himself, I still feel incredibly annoyed with myself for missing such an obvious amount of corrosion especially when these motors are known for it. Im seething mad with myself and have just been kicking myself all afternoon. No excuses, Hands up I fooked up. Phew that feels a little better, Anybody else had a worse afternoon at any point in their career?
