ATL lock to lock

I need to first unlock our plates then roll the car onto them. The pin holes are slightly bent and its a nightmare trying to get them out when a cars on there.

Use the steering wheel first to go lock to lock then same again by turning the wheels by hand. Engine off as its sometimes impossible to do that with some cars. VW's spring to mind.

I've basically done the same for years as both of you guys
But I went to check something in the manual the other day unrelated to this issue and thinking back when I used to do 2 man testing,when the assistant used the steering wheel to do lock to lock, I would be underside doing a check to look for fouling of tyres, steering components and brake pipes etc.
If we are alone and we use the steering wheel or the road wheel to do lock to lock, we can't see what is going on underneath or behind the road wheel.do you see what I mean guys?
I understand that if something is fouling, there is normally evidence or signs to start the alarm bells ringing so to speak to prompt us to check further.

I think that this part of the test is always going to have someone in the vehicle to work the steering wheel.

Spot on nitros44, a one man test is never going to be as good as an assisted test, and not just in this area. When I started one man testing an assisted test included the assistant operating the park brake so you could check the movement on the linkage, which was not possible on your own.I'm sure there are a few other things which would show deficienciesin one man testing.
