Scenic tested elsewhere and items missed

T reg Scenic today, tested at THE major national fast fit centre down road from us, they don't weld so brought to us by customer, also CV gaiter with 3 fails on same item,  Insecure, Damaged , deteriorated (all on same gaiter) tiny hole in door step sill, yes an RFR on seatbelts prescribed area... as ramps/pit in use, jack up ,replace CV gaiter (that's 3 RFRs fixed in one go ), open door, look at hole, 10mins to prep,weld paint, while looking at sill, BIG hole in rear of it within 30cm seatbelt or suspension prescribed area, no RFR look at advisories and there it is???  corrosion to sill but not within 30cm of a body mount ??
now Scenics are monocoque,  the rear sills are all in prescribed areas,  and no RFR .Woops, 
ring them up , ask to speak to NT in case he has made mistake and should have been RFR,  manager goes off, comes back on phone and said " no NT says that bit of rust is not a failure, he advised it as it was a big hole.    WTF !!!                                                                                                       Spoke to owner of car, explained it should have failed, and the MOT fast fit garages answer to me, and customer said leave it if they will pass it, 
So,we have an incorrect pass, an NT in major need of training, a fast fit centre manager with no idea of MOT compliance/rules, and a car driver who does'nt give a toss as long as car has a pass.
No wonder the MOT scheme has such a bad name if muppets out there don't now a prescribed area from their arse
