How do I remove a bulb for my clocks on vauxhall astra s reg

it's a long time since I did one but....

Disconnect battery

The lower bezel comes out first, and if I remember correctly that's part of the column surround. Two or three screws up from the footwell and two screws through the steering wheel which can only be seen with the wheel turned. That exposes two lower screws for the top bezel, and there's another couple of screws upwards through the upper bezel. The you see a screw at the top of the clocks, undo that, and thats where you have to start being very careful. The clocks won't come far forward until you disconnect a couple of wiring plugs, push the tag to release the plug type connectors. You need to fish around blind to do this, but you need not to damage the floppy printed circuit on the back of the clocks on the dash metalwork, which also cuts your hands. By 98 the speedo should be electronic, but if it's cable that's another pig to disconnect. Bulbs just twist and pull out.

Vauxhall used to charge just under an hour for that, be prepared to spend at least an hour.
