MOT Fail - Headlights kicking up to the offside

It's possible that it could have left hand drive headlamps fitted, though this issue should have been spotted at the last MOT.

The headlamps could have a 'tourist' function, whereby it's possible to flatten the beam by flicking a lever within the headlamp or you may be able to do it electronically through a lighting menu on the on board computer.

If they are kicking up to the right and are not adjustable, you could get some right hand drive headlamps, or mask the kick up on the lamp with a bit of tape, providing that it doesn't seriously reduce the light output.

A flat beam without any kick up to either side is permissable for the MOT.

I seem to recall our BMW expert saying something about that a while back. I'm sure he'll be around before too long.
