I own a 1971 Bedford tk, it hasn't had an mot in 30oddyears.

its a bare chassis with cab.

does it need rear mudguards?

Does it it need a full width rear crossmember with lights as far out as the overall width of the vehicle?

i rang a hgv test station and they weren't sure.

It needs mud wings too. Rear lights can be fitted on outriggers from the chassis - as long as they "indicate the presence and width of the vehicle"
