No tissues required for this one

I don't dislike it too much. I wouldn't buy it, I wouldn't build it, but I've got to admit, I've probably built worse.

Photos all got lost by the editor of my motor club magazine, but I seem to remember a Mk1 Escort rally car I bought heavily rolled, for £35. The rear end was destroyed, nosecone and front wings unrecogniseable but the front screen and door openings still looked pretty good. It ended up with a dropside rear end, like a miniature council Transit, and the front end was a "copy" of an air-portable(now known as Lightweight) landrover made by knocking up a hardboard and plywood skeleton and sandwiching it between two layers of fibreglass.
It was Hideous! but with 150bhp under the bonnet I was doing the quickest half-ton log deliveries in Sussex.
