if I could undo the knot I would Pass and advise. If it was "boy scouted" with miles of cordage I would refuse to test. if there was any likelihood that I would be unable to re-tie it I would refuse to test. In fact I'm leaning more towards refuse now on the grounds of likely to cause injury . . . . . .Give a fool enough rope and so on :-)

I;d say P&A. We don't get the luxury of definition for "secured", so how it's secured is irrelevant. If you can undo open and secure why fail?
