VOSA has created a site assessment calculator, to help you carry out your own site assessment. It is available online now at GOV.UK and in our list of VOSA links in the left panel.

The calculator is set out as a site assessment form. By using the Risk scoring guide you can make your own assessment of your garage. If you enter the outcomes (1 to 5) for each item assessed, the calculator will give you your potential VTS risk score. This calculator will not amend your actual score but will demonstrate which areas you could improve upon to ensure a good result when the vehicle examiner visits.

i tried to get into there site to use there caluator site assement but could not was asked to down load this file and that file far to complicated by far i am mot station owner not a computer nerd i pay people to do this for me the site is a good idea but to hard to acces

If you download "openoffice.org" on to your computor (free download and safe) you can open the file no problem. WORD compatible and you can use it to open other files in the future. Here is a snap shot of the program.
Similar to MS WORD but better and free. IMO.
