Extract from Matters of Testing:

The recent round of VTS council meetings mainly talked about MOT modernisation. This relates to MOT computerisation 2015 and beyond, discussing items that could benefit the scheme in the future.

A range of topics were debated including equipment, logging on process, training, enforcement and consumer choice. Everyone had something to say, which was very useful for us, as it helps us to move forward and shape the I.T. equipment needs for the future. We have captured all the ideas and the project team will consider and where possible incorporate them.

We also covered other items council members brought up on behalf of the trade. Several items were taken back and fed into the Technical Standards and MOT Scheme Management teams.

Your VTS council members are there to represent you, so get in touch with your ideas and issues with the MOT and help to shape the MOT for the future.
