Isnt zone A just above the steering wheel?

Zone ‘A’ ivor is:

i) in the swept area of the windscreen
ii) 290mm wide
iii) centred on the centre of the steering wheel.

I must disagree with you on this point David as VOSA at Bristol have told me differently in times past

I was told in some certain words that any sticker along the bonnet line does not fail the mot because it is not obstructing the drivers view of the road

We must use common sense at the end of the day and understand what the manual is actually saying. So official stickers not readily remove-able which seriously restrict the drivers view would fail, but along the bonnet line these stickers are not in the drivers view, unless your sat so low in the drivers seat of course that you struggle to see over the bonnet line, then at that point yes they would be a serious restriction and yes for the driver they would obscure the road, but for the NT who does not have that problem, then looking centrally through zone A and the remaining swept area, no sticker like a tax disc etc would obscure the view of the road ahead.

If the Government issue a driving licence to a person in this country to drive a vehicle who seriously struggles to see over the bonnet line of the vehicle, thus has to look through the steering wheel to see the road ahead, then how can a sticker the size a tax disc or the examples in this thread seriously restrict a normal drivers view of the road?

I just believe that common sense has to be used, the mot is suppose to about road safety not nit picking politics.
