Self adjusting clutches

Did you have pre load the clutch plate then bolt it to the flywheel  no instruction on the luk  one

We were looking at the box there are pictures on it with the tool the factor loans a tool out workshop lad never done one I did a BMW 4 years ago that were clamped up like the old Vauxhall ones

I've seen a few LUK release bearing modifications of late. When I've wondered what to do with them I've normally text a picture via watsap to LUK technical and they normally come straight back with a solution. They are very good.  

I've experienced that a couple of times. Lessons learned here are don't believe what others tell you, make your own informed decisions if unsure, or most importantly if you are to rely on another persons opinion and understanding, ensure that person can be trusted, i.e. I only take manufacturer recommendations into account. 

There used to be a time when you could walk into any garage and feel confident that the staff understood the job in hand, also that reception personal would have some reasonable understanding, but times have moved on and attitudes have changed. The world is full of Clowns, more Clowns and more Clowns.
