It's frustrating anyway because they are a bunch of idiots and think they are doing a wonderful job.

Because our school tutors used to tell us if we don't pass our maths courses we'll all end up as garage mechanics, and ended with, do you really want that!! 

They more than likely only go because the country has nothing else to offer and the governments ideas are to do their best to keep crime down, hence keep your minds occupied doing anything for a few years at a time. This trade is a struggling dying trade now anyway and the new technologies coming through will see most off anyway in the near future. Yet another reason to reduce numbers? 

Now there's a way of cheating the system, out of hours tests misleading the joe public your on CT and pocketing the money

Those who got themselves in debt for a worthless degree were destined to flip burgers anyway because they weren't bright enough to see the bigger picture.

I completely agree Wally, most qualification's aren't worth the paper they are printed on. 

I suppose that depends on how one interprets and understands the qualification. If one wants the qualification to better their job status then one is either over qualified or under qualified depending on how many applicants are available for the post. It must also be remembered that any person spending their life in education has learned to work their brain, but the practical side of their life will be next to zero from an experience point of view. I could not see many if any people having studied a degree or masters degree wanting to become an mot tester?

Understanding the potential jobs available for an employer to take back all staff after furlough at the moment does not seem realistic or possible. When furlough finishes at the end of September for our trade anyway, it will be interesting to see what happens to many?
