Odd ball injuries

Closed up for a bank holiday weekend, decided to re-grit the RB Tester giving enough time for the epoxy to cure before the following week. So I’m grinding off the loose bits and put the angle grinder down, still spinning. In the blink of an eye, it cut me to the bone (and i mean, ‘the bone’)
3 inches atop my middle finger. I knew I was in bother and on my own, so I locked up and walked across to A & E.

The nurse couldn’t ‘irrigate’ the cut clean and said “that’s the dirtiest cut i’ve ever seen” cut the finger off a rubber glove and used it as a tourniquet. Then she said “this is going to hurt” and went around this fcuk-off sized gash with a hypodermic needle (anaesthetic). Guess what she did next?

She took a nail-brush and scrubbed, and scrubbed, and scrubbed the, by now, snow-white finger until it was clean. Oh, and in case you were wondering, yes, the bone was (very) visible.

Anyway, thirteen stitches later, I was back at the garage finishing what I started.

By now of course, every fcuker else was into their BBQ bank holiday weekend;
