contingency testing question

so I looked it up and found this

Incomplete Tests Prior to CT
If you have registered a test but not completed entering the results when the system fails, when the system returns to normal the incomplete test will still be present. Continue as follows:
• If the date is the same date as when the test was started this test record may be completed by entering the test results etc as noted on contingency paperwork before performing “Catch Up”.
• If the date is different this test record must be aborted and the test record created via “Catch Up” procedures.


the way I read it it meant enter the test reults as normal which I did an printed off a pass certificate then did the catch up procedure entering the contingency code and vehicle etc but now when I do the MOT look up theres two tests recorded? Am I being a bit thick and done it wrong?

Like you said if you can log of the test the same day as you started it do that when the system is live again
there is no requirement to log the test under CT.

If the system is down until the next day you have to cancel test and log it as a CT.

Am i right in assuming you have completed the test when the system became live and then completed a CT as well

on your home screen at the bottom,enter c/t tests,go from there

no,we don't do that now,you just gotta make sure you've entered em all and keep duplicates or originals of all the relevant paperwork for 3 mnths.keep in mind that any you miss WONT have a test.
