survey done. The fewer testers that take the opportunity to respond to the survey will only show that we didn't want or use the VSI system. This is our opportunity to try and redress the balance.

Highly recommend doing the survey, they are definitely wanting as much feedback on this as possible.

The conclusion to my question was why is the ‘Search for a defect’ facility only available before you enter the ‘Defect categories screen’ or after you ‘finish & return to mot results’?
It’s not the best improvement’s considering ‘It’s all about making information readily available to the person testing the vehicle’…using a useful tool like the tablet was easy until the improvement? I think Neil Barlow and his team got it right how it was and what we have now is poor by comparison, maybe a bit too much information than we need to see, the difference in font sizes & the screen layout is a distraction, in conclusion it’s a step backwards without prejudice to the vehicle technical data development. It’s supposed to save a lot of time in the long run, it’s nice when you bring something out that we can immediately go for and you can see the improvements and its user friendly & we can take it forward. Sorry am probably colour blind, dyslexic and have various ranges of learning difficulties

think you might find that dvsa are only doing as theyre told,their bosses that you allude to are the ones who agreed to lay em all off in the first place to the extent that there aint enuff of em left to do the job.as such any resources allocated to our requests will come via the same folks who cut it all to start with.what do you reckon our hopes?you are familiar with what a management consultation actually is aren't you?the only likely resources allotted to our trade are most likely gonna come out of our own pockets in some way shape or form.i hope as always to be proved wrong,having been continually told about my negative cynical attitude I find it distressing to be continually proved correct

As of Monday there will be a blue box on the screen with all the vehicle details, this will show things like EPB procedures and the likes and can be clicked or ignored, it will not be available for all vehicles at first and will be rolled out over time for all makes and models. Dunno if it will be printable or not but probably will.

It is the same as what was on the old system
