Registration Plates and Historic Tax Class

The DVLA have decreed that vehicles taxed as Historic can now display Silver on Black registration plates, so this moves the date from 01/01/73 to a rolling 40 year limit, currently a build date of up to 01/01/76.

As the DVLA have obviously not contacted the DVSA so that the DVSA can issue a special notice to amend the testers manual, be prepared for a few disgruntled vehicle presenters. Also to implement this we will need to know which tax class the vehicle is in.
