New laws coming in 2017

Please reference where the law is changing in 2017 for up to four year mot tests!

All looks like a profit and loss sheet to me along with a balance sheet, can't see any mention about road safety being seriously compromised along the way, it talks about new cars and bikes, what about the average old banger still running around?

Won't they still have an annual test? The proposal is first test on 4th birthday, not a test every two years (4-1-1 and not 4-2-2).

It's still a proposal and needs more consultation. Hopefully they won't try to hide it within something else and rush it in.

It's not helped by the way "the system" lies about the failure rate, especially as doing a PRS only counts as a 50% fail rate as opposed to 100% fail rate.

Credit where it's due, it was Hooters   that originally spotted the error of their ways and emailed them about it. When I last saw him, and hopefully he's off the crutches now   ,  he still hadn't had a reasonable or believable reply. Possibly he has by now and can enlighten more.

As you appear to be oblivious of the system and how it works I'll explain it to you simply. Everything you have linked to is spin, cr@p, bull$1t, call it whatever you like. It is leaked information. In fact, call it the future because no matter what I, you or anybody else says, the decisions have already been made by people who don't have a clue and are miles above our combined pay grades.

Most of us here are trying to make the best of a worsening situation.
