2005 Vauxhall Movano 16 seat bus has the metal strengthening plates for the seats rotted out at the rear.

Now, as it is after 2001, it doesnt need a seatbelt installation check as they are type approved.

If the plates are replaced will it need to have an IC ??

Nope. As a 2005 would have been type approved any repair must be to the same strength/standard as the original fittings. The criteria is exactly the same as any other welding repair.

I'm not even sure where you'd have to go if you wanted or required an installation check nowadays.
