salary question

The minimum wage is currently £6.70 hour - A tester should be earning much more than £7.00 an hour in my opinion, in what is a very important job.

I mean, my local council pays their pavework management employee's £6.99 hour for what is actually litter picking.

£9.30 in Lidl an hour. Just saw a job advert. A friend told me about waitrose in London paying night worker's £14 an hour in central London.

My former position is still open to applicants. Fill your boots David. Step up to the plate.

Mot testers should be on at least a 30 thousand pound salary also at the minimum .something must be done about honoring the people that are saving peoples lifes from being in danger.
surely as Mot testers have to execute vast numbers of mots and make critical decisions they should be recognised like the Doctors, pharmacists etc are.

interesting to see the example above is using a tablet. in the perfect world this is ideal, using a tablet as a checklist, filling in results and fails as you test...BUT STILL maintain the need for a summary printout with VSI & data entry boxes as best practice if required.

In short am waiting for 'Your comment is awaiting moderation' to see if they will appear publicly so you no what i am on about.

with the risk of getting boring  May the best ye hae ivver seen be the warst ye'll ivver see....IF WE GET AN OPTION FOR A PRINTOUT BEFORE WE TEST I will  get a Bidet in the workshop AM NOT JOKING...and a wee bit more VSI other than brake testing weight, would be also useful.

I'm not saying those people are not professionals. I'm saying the way they conduct the test is less than professional. I'm sure they are capable of doing a test just as well as you or I but they don't. I've made mistakes in the past, failed cars when they should of passed, passed cars when they should of failed but that was down to inexperience, not incomptance or just a general lack of giving a toss. I used to ask my fellow tester his advice on things I wasn't sure of but now I know better, so I come here to you guys. We had a guy recently put through his testers course and guess who he comes to more often than not? Me with two and a half years of testing or the guy with over ten?
