It might just be me but we used to get the test number at the beginning of the test,now at the end,I use it with my gas tester when producing printouts to show the gas test is part of the mot,but now I can't because the number is only given at the end of test?

Brake test weight is the same at test results entry, it is a problem this because if cars only require a quick PRS how can we know the brake efficiency results until after entering results?

In feel that the brake test weight should be given at the beginning.

What do you guys think?

1st use date and engine size , plus the expiry date of last test , colour and number of time tested etc are available before you start the test . Number of times tested could flag up a VE incognito . Number of tests should be roughly age of vehicle minus three in most cases . I tested a 09 car other day that had been tested 14 times . Could be just that it has been traded a few times , but it was suspiciously high .I don't think that fails and passes are added together to make the total as most cars tally up with the age-3=number of tests theory ..
Not that it matters if you are doing your job properly , but is it something worth keeping an eye out for ?
