I would hope for sensible sake and customer relations we'd all do that.

Otherwise we'd all be labeled as miserable old gits and f**king jobsworths.

First of all i too would tape it up, but i know testers who will go out of their way to get a fail, and being extra picky would use the following RFR's.  1.4  2.b insecure.   1.9  2.a  insecure and  b. damaged or deteriorated.   c. connector exposed.

I have seen testers use these RFR's for the same kind of damage seen in the picture, how they get away with it is beyond me. Hopefully they will get caught out one day soon.

I don't see how you could fail that under the rfr's in 1.9. As for taping it up and handing out a PRS, I wouldn't, unless it was the only fail.

Different stations different ideas, we like to do PRS on simple items, bulbs wipers washers fill headlamp aim etc, even tyres, and some other bits, have no time slots so can do these PRS items,
understand when constrained by time it's not always possible,
most of my tests are repeats year on year so like to keep them happy.
