The wheel being of different metals don't matter

Fail seems a good option...

Only space savers have a Speed Warning Sticker, so in that case how would the same sized tyre fit that type of rim?

I suppose if we are to take the wording of the manual as David quoted then both the wheel and the tyre would have to be marked as temporary for a fail to be justified.

I think I've changed my mind and siding with nitros44 & @excessive. Give him an advise and tell him to stop being a cheapskate t**t.

David, you can still have full size spares on steel rims where alloys are fitted to the road wheels. I have such a spare or my car although it is a different size. I've got 16" alloys and the spare is a 15" steel but with a larger sidewall to keep the circumference the same. The wheel is makred temporary but its a bog standard tyre. Of course my spare would fail for being a different size.

although the one in question was H rated, and the car was on 185.65ri5 88v

Many Fords on alloys also have steel spares, with the same size tyre as the car, and speed limit stickers.

Its made of pressed and welded steel whereas the others are cast aluminium so so I would say that was constructed differently. Dimensionally the size is identical, but the ET number denoting offset was different.
