2016 Mini Countryman EPB testing

As of 7th jan 2020 no VSI for testing EPB on MTS

Decelrometer or plate brake test unsuitable to test the EPB

The EPB can be tested with both wheels turning or individual during the rbt

Before conducting the rbt ensue that the DSC is turned off and the DSC lamp is illuminated

Test the service brake and parking brake in the normal way .

Switch the DSC system back on with the relevant control or ignition off /on will reactivate the system .

To disable the DSC , ignition on ,press and hold DSC button until the mil lamp and warning message reads/ illuminate DSC disabled on instrument display
If the DSC button is depressed and released immediately this only turns off traction control part not the DSC system ,must be held down until the message /lamp appears.
