Not come across any myself, what is it? Gonna guess brake related?

This one brake related as per guess one of the others was steering related. 

Yesterday, as it happens with the fouling brake hose. It was brand new, so slightly chafed was the defect. I won't go ahead and fail it. I used what was there, and now it's the presenter's problem. And DVSA's if it goes pear shaped.

A Relay camper van ..C4 ... Load rating of 100 on the tyres and the rollers weighed it's presented weight at nearly 5000kg . Classic example of 'it's the right size so lets ride on it' .

Big nail through a tyre may well justify not doing a brake test & a rfr " brakes not tested" , jus saying.....

I test everything to the weight the rollers say . It is out of my hands once the rollers start rolling . 

and the ministry have always said that if you wanna do it the wrong way round they aint gonna stop you but if summat that you would have spotted prior lets go then its your fault

unfortunately we don't all have rollers with weighing facilities,my best guess to the weight is when my 4 ton ramp starts struggling to lift em.bottom line is if the guys that built it needed a gvw of(lets say)3700kg then that's what they needed it to be able to carry loaded.ok so when you test it the water/septic/gas tanks might not be full,there aint all the clothes/food that theyd need on board etc etc but with the best will in the world chances are its presented weight is gonna be 3300kg or more and the mot system will give you a brake weight of about 2000kg which means joe blogs testing it will just hit enter for possibly substandard brake readings(handbrake in particular)and the system will automatically pass it.if they could have got away without up plating-lets say-a relay from 3300 kg theyd have done so.the whole camper van/dual purpose/ambulance lark is a complete dogs breakfast and always has been and a lotta the time it boils down to your best guess.shouldnt be that way.its a vehicle that had to be based on a van purely cos of the weight it has to carry.why are weight relevant testing criteria not applicable?and why do the camper owners that add another ton or two of extra crap to an already heavily laden vehicle not required to ever have the weights checked via plating etc?why is the manufacturer/conversion ulw/kerb weight not declared or part of vsi on comp 2?given that the majority of em are loaded close to max more or less permanently (unlike the average van that might at least be partially loaded at least some of the time)its always struck me as an accident waiting to happen at least in general terms.thats without factoring in the senile delinquents who form a fair percentage of owner/operators.save that discussion for another day perhaps?
