DVSA (or rather the system builders) need help again

Aled from Kainos here. We’re the IT people for the DVSA (and we build MOT Comp 2).

I** M**** gave me your email address. I hope you don’t mind me getting in touch.

From time to time I check through the MOT Testers & AE’s forum to see if anyone is reporting issues with Comp 2. I noticed that you shared a link to a questionnaire my colleague Rob and I wrote back in November.

Thank you very much for doing this. It really helped. We got way more responses than we were expecting. To be honest we were blown away with how much helpful feedback there was.

Seeing as this approach was so successful, I was wondering if you’d be willing to post another message to help us out?

We need to speak with testers who really struggle with computers. This might be because they’re older, dyslexic, have poor eyesight, have colourblindness, or they might just hate using computers altogether.

We want to find out if there’s anything we can do to make it easier for them to use Comp 2.

It’s hard to find people like this because a lot of them don’t want to admit that they find computers difficult in case we report them to a VE. (We would never do this.)

So we thought the forum might be a good place to ask if anyone there knows somebody who might struggle with computers and is willing to talk to us.
